The next structure deck for the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG has been announced; Gates of the Underworld!
Konami has also released the first shots of the product for the TCG.

Gates of the Underworld brings new life the Dark World theme of monsters, which were first seen in the Elemental Energy booster pack back in 2005!

Dark World are a series of fiend type monsters that get their effects when they are discarded to the graveyard.
Gates of the Underworld carries on this theme by bringing new, more powerful monsters that get their effect in the same way, bringing new life to the Dark World strategy!

Darkness reborn!

Of all the new cards Gates of the Underworld brings to the Dark World strategy, the two most prominent would have to be Grapha, Dragon God of Dark World and Gate of the Dark World.

Grapha, Dragon God of Dark World is the cover card of the set and rightly so! Grapha has a monster of an effect, let's break it down:
First, when Grapha is discarded from your hand to the graveyard by a card effect you can destroy one card your opponent controls. Not bad.
But if it was discarded from your hand to the graveyard by your opponent's card effect, you also get to pick a random card in their hand and look at it. If that card was a monster card you can Special Summon that monster to your side of the field. Wow!
And if that wasn't enough, if Grapha is in your graveyard, you can return a Dark World monster you control to your hand to Special Summon Grapha from your graveyard!

So Grapha is a 2700 attack Dark attribute, Fiend type monster that can destroy cards on the field, steal opponents monsters from their hand and Special Summon itself from the graveyard, this card is definitely going to make an impact to the meta.

What could top Grapha? How about a card that makes it even easier to get his effect to activate? Gate of the Dark World is the Dark World's own themed field spell. It's first effect boosts the attack and defense of all fiend type monsters on the field by 300 points. It's second effect is where this card shines; Once per turn: You can banish 1 Fiend-Type monster from your Graveyard; discard 1 Fiend-Type monster, then draw 1 card.
Use this effect to discard Grapha, you'll destroy a card your opponent controls, then you can Special Summon Grapha from your graveyard by returning a Dark World you control to your hand, ready for use next turn with Gate of the Dark World.

These are just two of the new cards in the Dark World themed Structure Deck, Gates of the Underworld, which is sure to invigorate the Dark World theme back to top tier. This will definitely be one of the must have products this summer if you're a duelist of the darkness.
